Dr. Sanjay Shukla, M.D., CEO of RxMD, has been invited to be a panelist in the opening plenary session at the 10th Annual BIO Investor Forum to be held in San Francisco, October 25-26, 2011. The Forum, an international investor conference, is being organized by the Biotechnology Industrial Organization (BIO), the world's largest biotechnology organization, providing advocacy, business development and communications services for more than 1100 members worldwide. The conference will focus on private and emerging public biotech companies and will present a broad, unbiased view of investment trends and opportunities in life sciences.

Dr Shukla’s session, The New Drug-Centric VC Universe—Return of the ROI, will explore recent innovative departures from traditional funding models that have served to, despite the difficult times, once again make private biotech companies attractive investments. The panel will also discuss creative approaches to reengineering the biotech drug development model.
